The hillside supporting the Owl's Nest Staff House is in an advanced state of erosion. Plans have been drafted for the installation of a retaining wall to provide long term support for this important camp building.

 

Parking is limited at JOY. This "dream" project would reclaim a drainage ditch by installing a culvert and then back-filling it. We would then extend the parking area from the end of the driveway to the tree line.

The entrance gates on Dodd Road and on Holmes Road are in need of upgrade for security and aesthetics. The priority is the Holmes Road entrance. The gate there is bent and difficult to secure. 

 

A part of our roadway leading to cabins on the upper level of the Riverfront Campus is in need of improve-ment. The pitch of the curve and water runoff need work to make it more passable in inclement weather.

Concrete is needed to complete the requirements of the new Blue Jay Cabin, as well as improve several sidewalk, driveway, and building entrance areas. It is most cost effective to do all the jobs at the same time.
