- First Day of Pre-Camp Staff Training - June 4
- First Day of Camp - June 12th
- Last Day of Camp - July 22nd
The base rate of pay for first year collegians and adult staff is $200 per week for seven weeks (6 weeks of camp plus staff training week). Some positions are required to arrive early at camp and are compensated for the additional time at the same rate.
INCREASE YOUR SUMMER EARNINGS: Joy of Living is a not-for-profit, missionary ministry. Staff members have the opportunity to increase their summer compensation by raising missionary support to double the amount of their summer salary, minus taxes and fees. As an added blessing to the children we serve, support you raise beyond the "double salary" amount will be directed to the camper scholarship fund.
Although raising missionary support is not required, it serves the dual purpose of increasing your prayer support as well as your salary. More information will be provided to you in your staff packet when you are hired.
Volunteers are a big part of the program here at JOY! Our volunteers help us reach more children by augmenting our paid staff without diverting money away from the scholarship fund. We need help in all areas of the summer ministry - grounds keeping, maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, program, and more.
